Journey with Bre: Merging Shadows with Light
I love my role as a therapist and find it deeply rewarding to connect with people. It's an honor to accompany you through the highs and lows of your journey. I embrace your uniqueness, I embrace the complex details of your story, I embrace the dark shadows and bright light that makes you YOU.
I am a bi-sexual queer woman and my services are queer, kink, and poly friendly. I feel fluid in my labels and started identifying as LGBTQ+ in early adulthood. I can help you navigate your identity and relationships based on your personal values, desires, and needs. Therapy can be a designated time and space to discuss these parts of yourself judgment free.
My professional specialties and certifications include Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), Psychedelic Integration, Yoga, and Expressive Arts. I believe the mind and body are always communicating. Incorporating mindfulness and body-based (somatic) tools, I treat the whole being rather than thoughts alone. Other evidenced-based modalities I use are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodrama, the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Polyvagal Theory.
Social justice and liberal values are a part of my approach. My career roots are in public schools & community health clinics. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I pay attention to what’s going on in your environment and our society as a whole. Capitalism, Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Pop-Culture and the harms they cause will be considered during treatment.
I was born and raised in Connecticut, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. My journey led me to San Diego in 2019, a place that quickly became home as I fell in love with the scenery, people, and life that I live here. Nature, creativity, mindfulness, exercise, relationships, and humor are all part of my healing journey.
Whether you're seeking relief or navigating life's challenges, your journey is honored here. Let's explore therapeutic approaches that resonate with you, and empower you to be present and active in your life. Reach out, and let’s take that first step towards wellness together.
Passions and Pleasures | I love nature, concerts, and music festivals. I find joy in making and appreciating art, practicing yoga, reading, and spending quality time with my friends and family.
Inspirational Quote | A quote that guides my practice and personal philosophy is, 'We are here to awaken from the illusion of our separateness'—it resonates with my approach to therapy and life.
Something You Don't Know | A fun fact about me is I used to work as a cake decorator in Connecticut.
Bre’s presence and intuitive guidance in KAP sessions create a deeply empowering space for transformation and self-discovery. Her genuine care and ability to keep things real make me feel both supported and understood, allowing me to open up fully to the experience. Each session leaves me feeling more connected, seen, and empowered.

I've worked with a few therapists, but I can easily say Bre is the best one I've had. She is great at knowing when to dig deeper, and when to pause to do a quick breath exercise to help re-center. She is both very knowledgeable and genuinely caring, and she creates a very warm and welcoming space. I have had more insightful breakthroughs working with them than with any other therapist. I cannot recommend Bre enough!

Bre is the best therapist I’ve had, and there have been many! She is the kindest and most calming person. You can truly tell that she cares by her attitude and the way that she intently listens and responds to you. She is extremely respectful of my spiritual background. The best part about her is that I never feel any judgement; I feel emotionally safe every time I walk into a session. Love her to death!

I have been seeing Bre for about 6 months now and HIGHLY recommend! I have made so much progress. She is incredibly kind, understanding, and real. I appreciate her openness and vulnerability even with her own life, as it has allowed me to connect with her more deeply and not feel that it is a one way relationship. I trust her fully and look forward to seeing her in our appointments. I also love the hybrid option - but definitely recommend seeing her in person!
