Based in San Diego and serving California, Bre offers Individual Psychotherapy with a deeply personalized approach to mental health, focusing on helping clients navigate a variety of challenges such as stress, life transitions, and trauma. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual, creating a safe and supportive space for personal growth and healing. Clients are guided through their emotional and psychological landscapes, gaining new insights and practical tools to manage their mental health effectively. Whether dealing with acute stress, significant life changes, or past traumas, Individual Psychotherapy provides comprehensive support to foster resilience and well-being. Bre, a bisexual queer woman, embraces the complexities and uniqueness of each client, providing queer, kink, and poly-friendly services. Incorporating mindfulness and body-based (somatic) tools, she treats your whole being rather than thoughts alone. Other evidenced-based modalities used are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodrama, the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Polyvagal Theory.

Anyone experiencing stress, going through life transitions, dealing with trauma, or seeking personal growth can benefit from Individual Psychotherapy. It is suitable for those looking for a tailored approach to their mental health. All ages can benefit from one-on-one attention and a supportive space to express themselves.
Both! Bre offers virtual services through video chat and phone calls. In person services can be held at a private therapy office in San Diego, or outdoors. Meeting online and at the office are HIPAA Compliant. Meeting outdoors for a walk or at a public park has limited privacy due to the nature of the location.
During a session, you can expect a safe and supportive environment where you can discuss your concerns. The therapist will guide the session to explore your thoughts and feelings, providing tools and strategies to cope with your challenges. Besides talking, you might be offered activities like breathing and meditation, gentle stretching or movement, journaling, drawing, or other options for non-verbal expression. Bre tries to include the ‘why’ we are trying something, explaining the research and reasons behind a therapy tool. These dynamic approaches help clients explore and address their issues in an interactive and engaging manner.
To start, you can schedule an initial consultation to discuss your needs and goals. This will help determine the best approach for your therapy sessions and ensure they are tailored to your specific requirements. Bre, with her extensive expertise and compassionate approach, will guide you through this process to ensure a beneficial and supportive experience.
My fee for a 50 minute individual session is $150. If you are unable to pay the full rate, please ask about reduced fees during your initial consultation phone call. There are some reduced rate spaces available. If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, Bre can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance provider for partial or full reimbursement. If you are using insurance to pay, you will be responsible for your co-pay amount, and your insurance company will pay the rest. I accept all major credit cards, cash, and HSA.
Yes, Bre accepts several health insurance plans including: Aetna United Healthcare Anthem Blue Cross of California If your provider is not listed or your are unsure what plan you have, please ask Bre about it during your initial consultation calls. She is often expanding the types of plans she accepts.
